Library
At Craneswater, we want all of the children to develop a lifelong love of books and reading. Our Library has a wide selection of books that your child will be able to borrow from. The children are encouraged to choose a range of books and to share their thoughts and opinions of the books they read both at school and at home.

All children visit the Library at least once a week and will have the opportunity to borrow two books: one to remain in school; one to take home. Your child is responsible for the books they borrow and are expected to look after and return them undamaged. If your child fails to return a book, a letter will be sent home as a reminder. If the book is lost you will be asked to replace it or pay £5.00 to cover the cost of a replacement. If the book is subsequently found your money will be returned. The children are encouraged to recognise the value of the books they borrow and the wonderful resource they are to the school.
Library Events
The school holds two book fairs every year; one at the end of November and one at the beginning of March to coincide with World Book Day. These events help to keep the Library stocked with the best books as free books are earned for the school whenever you buy from the Book Fairs and Clubs.
